Roxanne Christian, is the Senior Technical Manager for Schwarzkopf Professional and a member of the National Education Team. Her unique approach as an educator and colorist is the result of 20+ years of experience working in salons, on stage and as an educator through out the USA. Roxanne demonstrates a special flair for creating custom multi-dimensional color, as well as an affinity for color correction.
Her talent as a hair designer and educator is not only in her wealth of knowledge and terrific eye for hair design but in the easy fun way she presents herself and the Schwarzkopf products.
Tips Of The Trade
What makes hair shine?... No it is not mayonnaise. It is refraction of light. Colorado is drier than 90% of the rest of the country. We battle the elements and dryness with our hair and skin. When you hair is healthy your cuticle is more closed and will refract more light. Heavily damaged hair appears dull... it is not refracting light.
What steps give you the most light refraction?

What makes your hair look lifeless and dull?
- Chemical Aging
Make sure you use a good color line with low a low ammonia content. Don't believe someone if they tell you it contains zero to no ammonia and it burns your eyes while it is on your scalp.
- Thermal Aging How old is your hair dryer?
How hot is it when you dry your hair? Sometime older appliances can burn your hair and thermally blow open your cuticle. Flat irons will give you sheen but it is short lived and damaging if they are inferior metal plates.
